Custom Bathroom & Kitchen Remodeling in Baltimore Maryland

I found Creative Equity Builders through Angi. Initially, I was looking to remodel my kitchen. Shawn came by to look at everything and gave me a price and a plan for the kitchen. Unfortunately, there were a couple other home projects that were a higher priority than the kitchen, and I didn’t have the funds for everything. So when I told Shawn the kitchen would have to be put on hold because of the other projects, he told me he knew and worked with people who performed the jobs I needed completed. I needed retaining walls installed, stairs removed, and my chimney repaired. Shawn was always in contact with me and set everything up with the people he worked with. They came out within about a month of our initial meeting, and had all of the work completed within about a week and a half. Any questions or concerns I had regarding the work were answered by Shawn in a very timely manner. He goes above and beyond when it comes to finding you the best deals for the work and materials. He also provides you with a good amount of options when it comes to materials, and is very up front about what it will cost. I’m very pleased with the outcome of the projects. Everyone that has seen the results has raved about them. I’m very glad I chose to do business with Creative Equity Builders. I will definitely be doing business with them in the future, and I highly recommend them.

Shawn and Justin did a great job. The bathroom renovation they did for us looked great and was done in the timeframe given up-front. We had several other companies quote us prior, but Creative Equity was the most reasonable and listened to what we were looking for. I'm posting before and after pictures. Shawn and his crew did a great job renovating our master bathroom from an outdated 80s bathroom to a contemporary oasis! We were working with a tight budget, and Shawn worked with us to bring our vision to life while expressing what could be realistically achieved within our budget. His crew was very professional and worked hard. Throughout the process, Shawn addressed our questions and concerns and promptly alerted us of updates, both to timing and anything unexpected that came up. Shawn and Mike did an excellent job converting our bathtub to a shower. They kept us apprised of how they were doing and fully explained what was needed for a high-quality shower. Shawn did a great job managing my bathroom remodel. Shawn kept it on time and budget. John who actually did the work was great. There isn't anything John can't do. John did plumbing, electrical, ceramic tile, and painting. John even came back a few months later to fix a few minor things. My wife couldn't be happier. Happy wife, happy life.

Shawn with Creative Equity Builders has been a gift to me. The guy designed a kitchen in my family home in Towson MD a few years ago. Ever since, I've really wanted to have a personal kitchen built by this guy, and he did not disappoint. I recently renovated my new home in Sparks MD, and now I have the kitchen I've always wanted. Shawn and his team remodeled two bathrooms for us. While we hit a few road bumps along the way, Shawn was very communicative and responsive. He is also very creative and very calm. We love our bathrooms!!

Shawn designed and remodeled our kitchen. We are very happy with the end result. We have been using it for about 2 months now after the project finished. I wanted to use it before I write the review for him.

First, Shawn is an incredibly talented designer. He is young and full of brilliant ideas. We had a basic idea about what we wanted, and he made it 10 times better. We have a very awkward kitchen space and not enough countertop space. He has the skillset to help us completely redesign it and extended counterspace. Additionally, our first floor is open space. He was able to integrate the whole first floor. He helped restain the floor color and our space is completely different now.

Second, Shawn's team does meticulous work. Shawn is very particular when it comes to symmetry of the whole space, lighting, and backsplash. We are very happy with John's installation and he cooperates with Shawn to make sure his design ideas are executed to the T. If you see the beautiful full wall backsplash, it was Shawn's idea and it took a lot of detailed work to make it perfect. We love it so much.

And Shawn responds well to feedback. We wanted to make a change after one set of cabinet is installed. Shawn didn't doubt our ideas because he understands we will be using the kitchen. Sometimes designed ideas are not practical to meet personal needs. He helped us update it immediately. While staining the floor, the installer made a small error and there was some discoloration. Shawn replaced it for us for free.

Tips for working with him include having a general idea about what style you want, have a budget and he works around it, and let him know what you do not like which saved us time. Also, trust the process! Shawn is so particular about symmetry and lighting, it really all came together.

*One thing is that we got all appliances from him too. I do not like the dishwasher control panel after using it. It starts the dishwasher if we just walk around and accidentally touching it, even if we start the lock, it would still light up and you'd always have to unlock it before starting it etc. But this is really not on him. He sent these for me to review beforehand, I just didn't know well enough.

I'd recommend Shawn to anyone who needs remodeling. He's a local small business and a really talented/motivated young designer. *I interviewed at least 6 companies before picking him. He seems to be the most sensible and down to earth one.

I was very pleased with the whole experience. Shawn and his team were great to work with. This was my first home renovation project. I was clueless and nervous on top of already being a very indecisive person. My kitchen needed a major makeover. Shawn was very patient and helpful. I am in the middle of a kitchen and bathroom renovation and had issues with my contractor. I was looking for someone to take over the project and contacted Shawn. He came over the same day and patiently walked through the project with me pointing out the things that were done well and those that could be improved. Shawn and his team were spectacular. The team was pleasant and polite - not something you usually find in this trade. Shawn took or returned every call promptly. They removed walls to make the main bath larger, also between kitchen and dining room. Shawn's got an eye for design as well as construction. I love how he took my ideas, which were only half formed, finished them out, and made them into a reality. It went so well, we hired them for phase two. They took down an old porch and put in a new screened-in porch and extended the master bedroom by 14 feet. I had other contractors in the house at the time. Creative Equity Builders worked with or around other contractors on the property. I didn’t have them do floors, blinds, or custom shelving, but they were kind and professional enough to work around and with those other contractors to make my job a success. The job ran over a few weeks, but it was due to snow, and they couldn’t help that. Overall, we are thrilled with our ‘new’ home. We’ll add a cooking center to the porch and a larger bathroom on the lower level next year, and Shawn will be the first call we make. We love our dream home. Would be happy to show our home to potential customers if you’d like to see his work before you commit.

We hired Shawn and his team to remodel our outdated kitchen. New cabinets, countertops, backsplash, and appliances. Shawn was knowledgeable about what materials were within our budget and helped us select the color scheme, etc. Shawn was very passionate about making sure the work was completed to our satisfaction. He even drove out to our house just to answer questions I had about the new backsplash. In the not too distant future, we plan on hiring his team to install new flooring.

This was my first remodeling project, and my overall experience was great. Any concerns and questions that I had were answered and taken care of. They took the time to listen to what I wanted and needed. The electrical, framing, and bathroom turned out fabulous. The quality of the materials they used was of high quality. Sean and his crew do excellent work and are very courteous. They completely remodeled our basement to include a sitting area and complete kitchen. Due to the age of the house (100+ years), there were many challenges they had to overcome, which they did exceptionally well. My husband and I have used quite a few contractors over the years and have found that Creative Builders did great work and were very neat and cleaned up before they left each day. We highly recommend them and even hired them for our next job before they completed our first project.
